The exhibition “Paradiso perduto” of the works of Paolo Pelosini opens on Friday 16 May 2025, at 5:30 pm, and will remain open until Sunday 15 June 2025. Organized by the Fondazione Banca del Monte di Lucca and the Fondazione Lucca Sviluppo with the patronage of the Municipality of Lucca as part of “Vivi Lucca”, it is curated by Marzia Martelli.
In the year of Paolo Pelosini’s eightieth birthday, the works selected for this exhibition are pictorial and sculptural and concern the production of the last years, those of the return to Massarosa, his homeland, after almost half a century living in the United States.
The dominant theme of his work is essentially that of the degradation of the environment and consequently of man and his latest works touch deeply on these issues. Many of his works are made with recycled materials.
In the Palazzo in Piazza San Martino, at number 7, also within this exhibition the workshops curated by Artebambini will take place; children and families will also find a convenient baby pit stop in the exhibition venue with a breastfeeding station and a changing table for newborns, available to all little visitors. “Paolo Pelosini.
