IL ROSSIGNOLO: Martino Noferi, recorder and oboe, Marica Testi, transverse flute,Stefano Barneschi, violin,Ludovico Minasi, cello, Ottaviano Tenerani, harpsichord and conductor
The 18th century, the evolution of the flute, and a group considered an Italian excellence, Il Rossignolo . These are the ingredients of the next concert season of the Associazione Musicale Lucchese, scheduled for Saturday, October 25th at 5:30 PM , as always at the Auditorium del Suffragio.
A Baroque afternoon, therefore, dedicated to the music of Telemann, Bodin de Boismortier, Vivaldi, and Bodinus. An unusual program, which also leads us to discover the history of the flute, with the revolution that affected this instrument in the eighteenth century, when the Hotteterre family made it divisible into three pieces, making it easier to transport and, above all, more easily adaptable to different performances and for different clients, granting musicians greater freedom and the opportunity to develop their creativity and imagination.
Martino Noferi (recorder and oboe), Marica Testi (transverse flute), Stefano Barneschi (violin), Ludovico Minasi (cello) and Ottaviano Tenerani (harpsichord and conducting) will perform the Quartet in G major TWV 43:G 2 and the Concerto in A minor TWV 43:a 3 by Georg Philipp Telemann , who wrote extensively for the recorder and transverse flute. The programme includes the Concerto in E minor for flute, oboe, violin, cello and harpsichord, PB 441, Op. 37 no. 6 by Joseph Bodin de Boismortier . We return to Italy with Antonio Vivaldi and the Concerto in G minor for flute, oboe, violin, cello, and basso continuo, RV107 , which reveals the Venetian composer's European influence and technical excellence. Finally, the Sonata in D major No. 1 for flute, recorder, violin, and basso continuo by Sebastian Bodinus , which calls on the flute to display decisive virtuosity.
