Archeoplastica is a travelling exhibition that transforms plastic waste found in rivers and on beaches into "archaeological" finds, raising awareness about plastic pollution. This edition will be held in Lucca from January 12 to 30, 2026, at the Church of Santa Caterina. Sponsored by the Consorzio di Bonifica Toscana Nord and the Municipality, it offers a free opportunity to reflect on the impact of our waste.
It's a project that collects beached plastic waste, classifies it, and displays it as archaeological finds, each with its own history and provenance, to demonstrate the lasting impact of plastic on the environment. The goal is to educate and raise awareness among the community about the need to reduce waste and protect seas and rivers, using the "mystery object game" to engage visitors. MORE INFO
