Oltremusic presents a free concert with the Bedford Modern School Orchestra at the Basilica di San Paulino, Monday, October 19, at 5:30 pm
The concert will offer a path through different genres and eras, with pages of the British choral tradition, sacred music, suggestions of modern and contemporary music and popular-inspired pieces. There will be raids in Baroque music, through a selection of instrumental dances, and a particularly evocative moment in which music and storytelling will intertwine, evoking the fantasy world of Beatrix Potter, a famous English writer and illustrator, known for her children’s stories, illustrated by herself.
Mary Perry, with Adam Wright as musical companion, directed the line-up.
The event is part of the Welcomes project, through which Oltremusica Aps favors the presence in Lucca of young international musical realities, offering them the opportunity to perform in places of particular historical and artistic value and to the Lucca public to learn about new experiences and musical sensitivities.
An initiative that recognizes in music a universal language, capable of bringing generations, traditions and cultures closer together, while enhancing the international vocation and the cultural heritage of the city.
Free of charge.
