A lyric concert in the atrium of the San Luca hospital in Lucca, scheduled for Saturday, November 22 starting at 10.15 a.m. by the Circolo A.Catalani, linked to the project “An air factory for hospitals”.

The initiative is entitled “Concerto in lane: note di cuore” and is organized by the Coop members section of Lucca in collaboration with Azienda USL Toscana nord Ovest, Scuola di Musica “Sinfonia” and Circolo Catalani.

Three high-level artists will perform at San Luca: soprano Anna Meozzi and tenor Tiziano Barontini, accompanied on piano by Maestro Massimo Salotti. Citizens are therefore invited to participate in the event, to contribute to the regional initiative, which also directly concerns the hospital of Lucca (one of the facilities chosen to host the installations).

Tomorrow, November 21, the sales campaign of anthurium plants promoted in the supermarkets of Unicoop Florence to support the initiative closes: for each plant purchased at a cost of 9.98 euros, the cooperative donates 2 euros to cover the cost of acquisition of the Air Factories.

The Air Factory is a bio-machine conceived by the plant neurobiologist and professor of the University of Florence Stefano Mancuso and made by Pnat, a company founded as a spin-off of the University of Florence. It has the appearance of a modular greenhouse that contains various types of plants: it not only has an aesthetic function, but is able to suction and filter the air, returning it purified and reoxygenated through the leaves and roots.

Even patients and workers of the hospital of Lucca will therefore be able to enjoy the beneficial effect of the plants, even with a reduction in stress and the improvement of the acoustic comfort of the environments.
