On Saturday 8 August, the national cycling race of the Juniors category returns, which, every year, attracts numerous cyclists from all over the world to compete on the roads of the Garfagnana. The meeting is at 9 a.m. in Sillicagnana.
The meeting point is at the Sillicagnana sports field, with a transfer to the zero-kilometer point in Villetta. From there, at 2:25 PM, the actual race will begin. The route heads toward Castelnuovo, then Gallicano, where five laps of a circuit will be completed, before climbing up through the upper Garfagnana to San Donnino (Gran Premio della Montagna), before descending again to Camporgiano. Here, the cyclists will descend to the bridge over the Serchio, then climb back up to San Romano, then back to San Donnino, returning to Camporgiano, the bridge over the Serchio, and then back to San Romano.
