The Fifth edition of one of Lucca's most beloved summer events, "And the Stars Were Shining" returns to Lucca's Walls on August 10th.. The full program will be presented in the coming weeks. "The event, which in recent years has become one of Lucca's iconic summer events, has become a staple.
Now in its fifth year, the event will once again enliven the city walls against the evocative backdrop of the night of San Lorenzo, with live music and artistic performances set in the city's most iconic locations. Conceived by the city administration led by Mayor Pardini as the council's first event, "And the Stars Were Shining" has been a huge success since its inception, establishing itself year after year as a highly anticipated event for both residents and visitors. This initiative simultaneously enhances the city's monumental heritage and its vibrant cultural offering.
"The idea of creating an event dedicated to the night of San Lorenzo on the Walls has proven successful since its first edition," stated Tourism Councilor Remo Santini and Culture Councilor Mia Pisano. "Over the years, 'E lucevan le stelle' has grown to become one of the most iconic events of the Lucca summer, combining culture, music, and the valorization of our extraordinary monumental heritage. This year, too, we are working on a high-quality program that will thrill and allow residents and tourists to experience a special evening in one of the city's most beautiful locations. In the coming weeks, we will present all the details of an edition that will confirm the spirit and beauty of this event, which has now fully become one of the most anticipated events in the Lucca summer calendar."
