Meraki Market

  • Palazzo Sani 121 Via Fillungo Lucca, Toscana, 55100 Italy (map)

The 2026 season of the Meraki Market begins on the last weekend of April, coinciding with the celebrations of Saint Zita.

The exhibition market will take place at its usual venue, Palazzo Sani, located at 121 Via Fillungo, and will be open for three days — April 25th, 26th, and 27th — from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

This year once again, the event will be spread across multiple spaces: the charming loggia and garden on the ground floor, as well as the magnificent Representation Hall on the first floor.

On the occasion of the Saint Zita celebrations, the garden and portico will feature a special setup, centered around a beautiful lawn and stunning flowering plants — an additional reason to visit the event.

As usual, Meraki artists and creatives will showcase unique, entirely handmade items. Visitors will be able to admire works of painting and illustration, ceramics, jewelry in various techniques, wood and leather craftsmanship, artistic recycling creations, sewing, and Japanese papier-mâché.

The common thread linking all these creations is the Modern Greek word “meraki,” meaning to put a part of oneself into what one does — to create with passion.

Starting in May, visitors will once again be able to attend “Artists at Work”: at each event, a different artist will work on site, answering questions from the public and sharing insights and small secrets of their craft.

The initiative, designed to strengthen the connection with the past — where many traditional techniques originate — as well as their reinterpretation in the present, aims to replicate last year’s great success.

The Association would like to thank the Municipality of Lucca, Confcommercio, and Federico Lanza, provincial president of FederModa and owner of the shop “Il Panda.”
