Capannori hosts the first edition of the 'Folk Studio Festival 2025', until 25th at the Artè cinema theatre on Via Carlo Piaggia, showcasing original music, encounters, and new voices. This new musical event was conceived by Roberto Franchi with the artistic direction of Simone Martini and organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Capannori and the Associazione per Lammari APS.

On Saturday, October 11th and 18th at 9:00 PM with two Folk Studio Live evenings, a celebration of original music, featuring six emerging singer-songwriters and bands with their own distinct styles and artistic personalities. Three artists will perform each evening with their original songs.

On Saturday the 11th, Igor Santini, a singer-songwriter from Lucca with intense writing and immediate melodies; Ele Matteucci, a voice and guitar blending Italy and Brazil with warm sounds and Latin rhythms; Melissa Stoned, an energetic rock band with prominent guitars and a lively attitude;

Saturday the 18th, Marco Da Torre, an introspective poet with intimate and intense lyrics; Stefano Cascio, a thoughtful singer-songwriter with a cultured yet accessible style; and Effenberg, a visionary singer-songwriter with poetic writing and evocative atmospheres. But already on October 11th at 5 pm, there will be a participatory event, so that music can return to the center of our history together with others: "Collective Listening - Vinyls and Stories," where the public will be invited to bring their own vinyl records and share a song, a favorite track, and the story that ties it to them. On Friday, October 17th at 9 pm, there will be a screening of the film "Francesco De Gregori. Nevergreen" by Stefano Pistolini, presented at the Venice Film Festival, which recounts De Gregori's twenty evenings at the Teatro Out Off in Milan with special guests.

Finally, on Saturday, October 25th, at 5:00 PM, the central event of the 2025 Folk Studio Festival will take place: the conference "Where is Music Going?" Featuring artists, critics, journalists, and producers (who will be announced soon), Francesco Baccini, patron of this first edition, will meet to reflect on the evolution of singer-songwriter music, the role of new technologies, artistic sustainability, and the dialogue between tradition and innovation. The project's goal is to promote independent music culture, foster the circulation of ideas, and foster the growth of new creative communities by creating an annual event that combines artistic experience, collective participation, and open reflection on the future of music. The Capannori Manifesto, a shared document with concrete proposals for the future of singer-songwriter music, is also scheduled.
