African Drug Collective is Luca Giovacchini's new project. Music, especially African-American music, with its deep spiritual roots, can be seen as a form of “drug”. Hence the name 'African drug', Africa as the place where it all began.

African drug is therefore music as addiction, African music in particular with its African-American evolution, and a combination of evocative rhythms and melodies.

We play Blues, Folk, Jazz, soundscapes and improvisation, which makes every concert unique and experimental.
