The Harvard-Westlake Chamber Orchestra, an orchestra composed of the most advanced students from the Harvard-Westlake School of Music in Los Angeles, will be in Lucca for an event of Lucca Music Dialogue – International Musical Encounters, a program promoted by the City of Lucca as part of the Vivi Lucca 2026 project.
The ensemble, led by conductor Neli Nikolaeva, is currently touring and conducting artistic projects in the United States and Europe and will also perform a tribute to the city of Lucca with music by Giacomo Puccini, a symbol of its musical tradition.
🎻 Welcoming the overseas orchestra and opening the concert will be the String Orchestra of the Sinfonia School of Music, conducted by Angela Landi. The school, founded in Lucca in 1995, is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, confirming its position as one of the most vibrant musical institutions in the area. ✨ Young musicians from diverse backgrounds meet and engage in dialogue through a single universal language: music. This event fosters exchange between international institutions and the local cultural fabric, strengthening Lucca's role as a meeting place for cultures, in keeping with its musical heritage.
