Gabriele Mencacci, born and raised between Rome and Cortina d'Ampezzo, graduated in philosophy and history of religions from Sapienza University of Rome. He presents himself as a singer-songwriter with a complex and multifaceted soul. Guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter for Joe Victor, with whom he has released two albums (Blue Call Pink Riot, 2015, and Night Mistakes, 2017). Amalfitano is the name of his Italian project. His writing is reminiscent of a cultured and intelligent singer-songwriter, playing with puns and irony, and drawing on the best of Italian pop music history, while making rock and roll his life's mission. It's a sincere song shouted to the moon, amidst Mediterranean parties with a punk soul, the Italian summer with its wall-breaking sun, and nights lost in piano bars, where everything revolves around love.
