On Sunday, June 8th, you can relive the moments of the summer of 1810 at Villa Reale when Elisa, Grand Duchess of Tuscany, spent the summer there with a group of talented guests to keep her and her family company. Meet Elisa, her husband Felice Baciocchi and their young daughter Elisa Napoleona, along with several renowned historical reenactors. There will be over 50 people from Italy and around the world, dressed in historically informed Napoleonic clothes from 1810, ready to enjoy the magnificent park of the Villa Reale from 11:00 to 15:30. Marlia will resonate with the joy and laughter of 200 years ago, when it was an oasis of pleasure and tranquility during the Tuscan summers.
The organization and artistic direction are by Margarita Martinez.
During the day, it is NOT permitted to enter in historical clothing.
For the occasion, the Association “Napoleone ed Elisa: da Parigi alla Toscana” presents LE DELIZIE DELL’ESTATE DI ELISA, for a real dive into the glorious past of Villa Reale in the years in which Elisa Bonaparte Baciocchi, Napoleon’s older sister and Princess of Lucca and Piombino, purchased the Orsetti country villa and transformed the property into her royal summer residence.
