Starting from the town center, you will travel along dirt or secondary roads, visiting farms and flower and plant nurseries, with the possibility of purchasing products, and enjoying naturalistic landscapes of considerable ecological and environmental interest.

The Via delle Erbe e dei Fiori is a nature trail in Massarosa, province of Lucca (Tuscany), accessible free of charge and independently in every season to live as protagonists unique experiences in contact with nature in the green heart of Versilia.

Walking or cycling along the dirt roads around the center of Massarosa, you can discover, stage after stage, the best agricultural and floricultural companies in the area to visit their spectacular crops and taste the local products of their own production, with the possibility of purchasing them.

The trail develops among plantations of lavender, eucalyptus and medicinal plants, as well as olive groves, vineyards, peach orchards and lands cultivated with hops, sunflowers, saffron, barley and wheat until reaching the largest cultivation of lotus flowers in Europe.

In 2022, in addition to the route that leads to the discovery of the most spectacular blooms between the center of Massarosa and the surrounding countryside, 4 other new routes have been inaugurated to immerse yourself in nature and the landscapes of Lake Massaciuccoli, passing through a Zen-flavored garden with a floating pagoda, an alpaca farm and the history of Brilla, the ruins of Roman Massaciuccoli up to the Lipu naturalistic oasis.
