Riccardo Muti will conduct the Luigi Cherubini Youth Orchestra at the Lucca Summer festival on Tuesday, July 22nd.
A program spanning different eras, highlighting the beauty and expressive power of great symphonic and cinematic music. The Orchestra will perform the symphony from Vincenzo Bellini's Norma, a masterpiece of Italian Romantic opera; and Giuseppe Verdi's The Four Seasons from I Vespri Siciliani, among the composer's most colorful symphonic works. The evening will also feature Nino Rota and his unforgettable soundtracks for The Leopard (1963) and The Godfather (1972). Finally, Maurice Ravel's Boléro, a masterpiece of 20th-century music, beloved for its hypnotic progression and overwhelming emotional impact. MORE INFO
