The legendary Welsh singer Tom Jones will be the protagonist of an extraordinary evening at the Lucca Summer Festival: the appointment is set for Tuesday, July 28 in Piazza Napoleone, in the heart of the city.
Lucca will be the only concert in Italy by the iconic artist.


With a career spanning over six decades of music history, Tom Jones is considered one of the most powerful and recognizable voices ever. With over 100 million records sold worldwide, he has won generations of audiences thanks to his unmistakable timbre, charismatic stage presence and a repertoire that continues to remain current over time.
From the 1960s to the present, Jones has signed a long line of timeless classics such as “It’s Not Unusual”, “What’s New Pussycat?”, “Delilah” and “Green, Green Grass of Home”, songs that have defined an era and consolidated its international fame. Throughout his career he has collaborated with some of the biggest names in music, including Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Van Morrison, Dolly Parton and Ed Sheeran, demonstrating extraordinary artistic versatility and a deep rhythm and blues root.

Even in recent years Tom Jones has continued to gather acclaim from audiences and critics thanks to his most recent works, including “Surrounded By Time”, produced by Ethan Johns, an album that in 2021 made him the oldest male artist ever to take first place on the official British chart with a record of unreleased, surpassing the record of Bob Dylan.
During his career, Jones has received numerous international awards, including the title of “Sir” bestowed by Queen Elizabeth II in 2006, several BRIT Awards, the Silver Clef Award, the Music Industry Trusts Award, and the US Songwriters Hall of Fame’s Hitmaker Award.
At 85, Tom Jones continues to be an extraordinary presence on the stages around the world, able to enchant the audience with a voice still very powerful and with a repertoire that spans generations and musical genres.
The Lucca concert promises to be a unique evening, in which the strength of his voice and the power of his songs will meet the timeless suggestion of Piazza Napoleone, increasingly one of the symbolic places of live music in Italy.
