Marcia in Verde, the sporting event organized by the Croce Verde di Lucca, returns with a new look and is now in its third year. The walk is focused on inclusion and well-being, and will take place on Sunday, October 5th, throughout the morning, and will count toward the Trofeo Podistico Lucchese (Lucchese Walking Trophy). The event is part of the Vivi Lucca Events calendar of the City of Lucca and is sponsored by Sistema Ambiente and In-habit Lucca.

The initiative, launched in 2023 as a sporting event open to all, has now become a true platform for outdoor activities. While in previous editions, the association on Viale Castracani focused on accessibility, with inclusive routes suitable for everyone, this year additional activities will be planned: plogging and environmental cleanup, walks with four-legged friends, and ethno-botanical trails to discover the local flora with Marco Pardini (free, starting at 10:00 am).

The start is scheduled from the Petroni Terrace between 7:30 and 9:00 a.m., with routes of 2, 5, 10, and 16 km. The event is scheduled to end at 12:00 p.m. The walk will take place regardless of weather. The registration fee is €3 for registered participants, €4 for occasional participants, and €2 for children under 11.
