Cinema Centrale celebrates the 35th anniversary of Wild at heart.
Sailor Ripley, a brazen prisoner on parole, meets the very young Lula Pace, a deranged girl from North Carolina, always haunted by nightmares following a rape she suffered when she was just a teenager. Lula has run away from home to escape the despotism of her eccentric mother, a drunken and dissolute slut, and now she takes refuge in the arms of Sailor, struck by a fatal passion. The two intend to reach Texas, where Sailor hopes to be able to escape all control of justice. But the shrew-mother - rejected by Sailor to whom she has offered herself without reticence - unleashes her killer ex-lovers on the two, to recover her daughter and eliminate Sailor. Decked out in a ridiculous fake snakeskin jacket, Sailor drags the insatiable Lula from motel to motel, indulging in a series of sexual orgies, diligently depicted in every detail, and punctually escaping the ambushes of the degenerate and psychopathic killers who pursue them. But in the end, short of money, Sailor is persuaded to participate in a robbery and ends up back in prison...
