It is this phrase by Luigi Boccherini - "Music is made to speak to the heart of man..." -, to give the title to the inaugural concert of the festival, a tribute to the expressive force of music and, at the same time, to the extraordinary musical tradition of the city of Lucca.
The violinist Alberto Bologni and the pianist Simone Soldati will interpret a program that crosses different eras, styles and personalities, united by the thread of the great music school of Lucca.
The concert will offer music by Francesco Xaverio Geminiani, Luigi Boccherini, Domenico and Giacomo Puccini, Alfredo Catalani, Gaetano Luporini and Gaetano Giani-Luporini, composing a path that from the eighteenth-century roots of the musical tradition of our city reaches up to the twentieth century, highlighting the richness and continuity of an artistic heritage deeply linked to Lucca.
