The Olympic flame for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games will pass through Lucca on December 12, 2025, as part of its journey through Tuscany. It will arrive in the city for a torch relay that will go through the historic centre, with the relay starting in the late morning and ending before the flame continues to Livorno. 

• Itinerary: The flame will arrive in Lucca after traveling through other Tuscan cities like Prato, Montecatini Terme, and Pisa.

• Activities: The flame will be carried by 22 torchbearers through Lucca's historic monuments and institutional areas.

• Final Tuscan stop: After Lucca, the relay will continue to Livorno, which will be the final stop of the Tuscan leg. 

The flame, lit in Olympia last November 26, will arrive in Lucca in the late morning of Friday, December 12; at 13.40 it will start from the technical professional scientific centere Fermi – Giorgi passing in via Carlo Piaggia and, to follow, via Lippi Francesconi, via Dante Alighieri, viale Castracani, piazzale Don Aldo Mei, entrance to the historic centre from Porta Elisa, via Elisa, via Santa Croce, to arrive in piazza San Michele in Foro. where it will parade in the monumental and institutional places with a relay of 22 athletes
