Perche Ci Vuole Orrechio Choir open LMA inaugural Concert

  • Piazza S.Francesco Lucca, Toscana, 55100 Italy (map)

Music has an incredible power: it excites, unites, and heals. Max Gazzè knew this well when he sang "Una musica può fare..." years ago, and we know it too, every time a song brings a smile to our faces or lifts us up in difficult times.

Singing, for its part, is the most immediate musical instrument and can be enjoyed by people of all ages and in almost all mental and physical conditions.

For about a year, a special choir, "Perché ci vuole orecchio," has been created in the Casina Rossa, home to the Adult Mental Health Centre of the Northwest Tuscany Local Health Authority. This exciting project involves people who frequent the centre in various capacities, including doctors, patients, volunteers, educators, and nurses. But there are also students from the Conservatory and ordinary people who love to sing together.

The "Perchè ci vuole orecchio" Choir will open the inaugural concert on Saturday, January 10th, dedicated to the tenth anniversary of the Foundation for Social Cohesion. Could we have opened the season any better? We don't think so!
