Fifty years after the release of Anarchy in the U.K., the Lucca Film Festival returns into one of the cultural fractures that changed music, images, fashion, cinema and languages.
The exhibition celebrates fifty years since the release of “Anarchy in the U.K.”, the first single by the Sex Pistols, released on November 26, 1976 and destined to become one of the posters of British punk, born from the will of a generation of very young English determined to question rules, languages and conventions. Music, art, cinema, publishing, design, fashion, literature but also politics and communication, were crossed and transformed by the break-in of that new energy.
What is left of it today? The exhibition tries to answer this and other questions through a nucleus of over 25 photographs and videos made by John Tiberi, capable of bringing out less well-known aspects of that era.
