From the United States to Lucca: the American youth choir, the Heartland Youth Choir, in concert in Mutigliano. Special guests for the evening will be the Lucca Gospel Choir, conducted by Vijay Pierallini (pictured), and the LYM Academy. The concert takes place on Thursday 2 July at 6.30 pm at the Church of Saints Hippolytus and Cassian; admission is free.

A major event celebrating international choral music is set to take place in the Lucca area. The youth ensemble, fresh from significant successes in the United States, will perform under the artistic direction of Mary Craven Bartemes, assisted by associate conductor Michael Gookin and with piano accompaniment by Mary Ann Hellenga. The choir is renowned for its extraordinary vocal talents and for the freshness of a repertoire capable of moving audiences of all ages.
