On Friday, March 20, at 5:00 PM, the Lucca Academy of Sciences, Letters, and Arts will host a presentation of the volume "The Last Act. Giacomo Puccini and Luca Orsini Baroni in the Collection of the Lucca Academy of Sciences, Letters, and Arts," edited by Gabriella Biagi Ravenni and published for the Academy by Maria Pacini Fazzi Editore. The volume showcases the Academy's valuable Orsini Baroni Collection, providing unprecedented information on Puccini, particularly his final days in Brussels. Luca Orsini Baroni, ambassador to Brussels in 1924, donated all of the documentation to the Lucca Academy in 1938. Having finally overcome the obstacles that seemed to prevent publication, the Academy is publishing this volume.
