The summer of the 2026 Puccini Festival is approaching. And this year, the anticipation begins earlier.

Introducing “Aspettando Turandot” (Waiting for Turandot), a new series of spring concerts that will bring leading figures from the international opera scene to the Eden Theatre in Viareggio. Three special events to gradually get into the Festival atmosphere and accompany the audience towards the centenary summer of “Turandot”.

🎶 2 April – 9 p.m.

An extraordinary event: Plácido Domingo conducts the Puccini Festival Orchestra in a concert dedicated to the great Italian opera tradition with tenor Vittorio Grigolo, one of the most beloved voices on the international scene.

🎶 26 April – 6.30 p.m.

Soprano Jessica Pratt, one of the most refined interpreters of bel canto, will be the protagonist of a recital with piano.

🎶 21 May – 9 p.m.

The festival closes with tenor Jonathan Tetelman, one of today's most fascinating voices, particularly appreciated for his Puccini repertoire.

Three evenings of opera in the heart of Viareggio as we await the summer, when the Puccini Festival will return to the Gran Teatro all'aperto in Torre del Lago, from 17 July to 5 September 2026.
