All set in the Romanesque church of San Pantaleone for the return of the Concerti di Pieve a Elici, the season promoted by the Associazione Musicale Lucchese in collaboration with the Municipality of Massarosa.
The prestigious "preview" of the 2025 edition is scheduled for Friday, June 27, at 9:15 pm, with the Adorno Quartet, considered one of the most interesting groups of recent years.
Edoardo Zosi (violin), Liù Pelliciari (violin), Benedetta Bucci (viola), Francesco Stefanelli (cello), close-knit musicians of evident talent who have been active on the national scene and beyond for some time, offer a program dedicated to Franz Schubert and Antonin Dvořák. They will perform the Quartet D.810 "Death and the Maiden", one of the most perfect chamber works by the Austrian musician. By Dvořák, instead, we will listen to the Quartet no. 12 op. 96 “Americano”, written during his stay in the United States and full of suggestions taken from popular music.
The Quartetto Adorno's concert is the first of a calendar of five concerts, the details of which will be revealed on June 24, during the press conference that will be held at the Municipality of Massarosa and which will see the participation of Marco Cattani and Simone Soldati, respectively president and artistic director of the AML, together with the mayor of Massarosa, Simona Barsotti, and the delegate for culture, Adolfo Del Soldato.
