A new season of music, research and cultural promotion is opening: “Abitare l'infinito” is starting, the concert series conceived and built with passion to accompany you, from May to December, on a musical journey through eighteenth-century Lucca and beyond.
It starts on Saturday 10 May , at 6 pm, with a special event at the Church of Santa Maria della Rosa . The ensemble Segreti Armonici , composed of soprano Maria Teresa Becci, cellist Basak Canseli Cifci and harpsichordist Michele Barbieri, will perform a program dedicated to Handel in the concert Il Collezionista , in collaboration with the Laboratorio Brunier. Admission is free.
Sunday 18 May , at 6 pm, in the Church of Santa Maria Forisportam , it will be the turn of the concert Paganini non ripeti with the Orchestra Nuove Assonanze , conducted by Alan Freiles, who will accompany the violinist Christian Sebastianutto in a program entirely dedicated to Paganini. Admission is free.
The program continues with the Aperitif Concert on Sunday 8 June , in collaboration with the Pinturicchio , where Maria Novella Malfatti (soprano), Roberto Lorenzi (bass) and Stefano Teani (piano) will once again perform Paganini's music.
On Sunday 22 June , at 9pm, the Real Collegio will host the concert I Borbone a Lucca , with the Dulce in Corde quartet, accompanied by Lorenzo Phelan on the cello and Giacomo Martinelli on the guitar, who will perform music by Boccherini and Puccini .
On Saturday 12 July , at 6 pm, the Parco dell'Infinito will host the concert Paesaggi e culture , with the Orchestra Sinfonica della Versilia conducted by Stefano Teani and the participation of mezzo-soprano Olympia Hetherington , for a selection of pieces by Berio , Debussy and Jongen . Admission is free.
On Friday 1st August , at 9pm, in the Garden of the Town Hall of Bagni di Lucca , the Betti Award ceremony will be held, in collaboration with Virtuoso & Belcanto . The star of the evening will be the Arola Quartet (Samuel Hirsch, Alla Ternova, Viktoria Vanteeva and Zoia Sudnis), with a program dedicated to chamber music. Admission is free.
On Saturday 18 October , at 6 pm, at the Auditorium del Suffragio , Abitare due continenti will be held, with the Nuove Assonanze Orchestra, directed by Enrique Mauricio Radillo , and the pianist Luigi Borzillo , for a repertoire that combines Rachmaninoff , Mozart and traditional Mexican music.
On Sunday 9 November , at 6 pm, the Real Collegio will host Fiabe, danze e dialoghi , a concert for two pianos with Giovanni Passalia and Claudio Cantini , who will perform works by Ravel and Mozart-Grieg .
The review will conclude on Sunday 14 December , again at the Real Collegio , at 6pm, with the traditional Christmas Concert , where the pianist Cristian Monti will perform pieces by Geminiani , Schumann , Roussel , Debussy and Ravel .
