The photographic exhibition “Gulliver, the Search for the Perfect World” by Lucca-based photographer Dantès (Dante Luci) is open in The Antica Armeria in the Palazzo Ducale until 24th May. The 70 black-and-white images that make up the body of the photographic exhibition, which represents a journey where images and text merge.
The subjects portrayed by Dantés are varied and explore themes centred on education, integration, hospitality, inclusion and the rule of law – values that underpin civil society. These vivid and powerful images encourage us to keep alive a sense of belonging to the community, offering a perspective that is not superficially optimistic, but rather seeks to highlight the positive aspects of people’s feelings and attitudes.
The exhibition will be open – with free admission – from 9 April to 24 May at the Palazzo Ducale in Lucca – in the Sala dell’Antica Armeria – which can be accessed from Piazza Napoleone or the Cortile degli Svizzeri in the heart of the historic centre.
Opening days are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8am to 1pm; Tuesday and Thursday from 8am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm; Saturday and Sunday from 3pm to 7pm.
