On August 29th, the ancient medieval village transforms into an open-air stage. An immersive journey through open-air theatre, art, and wonder, led by the "Arkani," to rediscover slower times, harmony, and peace.

Organized by the Ecoeventi Lucca ETS Association , the event is conceived as a collective journey of rebirth, wonder, and profound connection. In a world too often divided and discordant, ARKANA chooses creativity as a universal language to "harmonize" souls and build a true creative laboratory , where culture does not separate but unites, building bridges to open the heart to new relationships.
The beating heart of this dreamlike and phantasmagorical experience will be represented by the Arkani : guiding spirits, guardians of ingenuity and performing talent, who will accompany visitors through the streets of the old town. The historic alleys and ancient walls will thus become a single, vast interactive stage where visual installations, diffused theatre, and live performances will offer precious relief, transforming the aesthetic experience into a profound mirror in which one can reflect and rediscover oneself as a small microcosm in perfect harmony with the universe.
Designed to delight audiences of all ages, from families to young people, the festival will unfold as an immersive journey where every corner of the village will reveal an artistic surprise thanks to the presence of artisans and hobbyists of all kinds. At the heart of the route, to ensure a revitalizing break between one emotion and another, a large Food Area will be set up , showcasing the typical flavors and culinary excellence of the area. The diverse offering will satisfy every age and palate: from sandwiches to pizza, draft beers, cocktails, and ice cream.
The organisers' invitation is to travel through Castelvecchio di Compito with a "poetic spirit" : that intimate and innate ability, belonging to each of us, to perceive the indescribable and subtle bond that binds us all together in the world.
The event will be free to enter with a free and responsible donation .
To facilitate access to the Borgo Alto and preserve the beauty and tranquility of the place, a free shuttle service will be active , constantly connecting the festival with the large car park of the "Paolo Massoni" sports field in Castelvecchio di Compito (further information is available on the website www.arkanafestival.it ).
The event is organized with the contribution of the Municipality of Capannori , the Cassa di Risparmio Foundation and the Tuscany Region and with the support of Coop Lucca members section and Conad di San Leonardo .
